‘American Horror Story’ Sets Return Of John Carroll Lynch & Mat Fraser

EXCLUSIVE: American Horror Story has added John Carroll Lynch (Ballard), Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Matt Fraser (Gangs of London), and Berto Colón (The Night Agent) for Season 13. Production on the hit anthology series from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk is currently underway.
The quad joins the previously announced cast that includes Ariana Grande, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, John Waters and Leslie Grossman.
Lynch and Fraser are returning as their American Horror Story: Freak Show characters, Twisty the Clown and Paul the Illustrated Seal, respectively. Colon will play Joe the Doorman, who is employed by Jessica Lange’s character, sources tell Deadline.
FX and 20th Television declined to comment for this story.
Details regarding the new season’s plot and who Suvari will play are under wraps.
American Horror Story is FX’s longest-running hourlong series and has amassed more than 100 Emmy nominations since its 2011 launch.
Murphy, Falchuk, Ned Martel, Charlie Carver, Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Tanase Popa, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Jennifer Salt, and Tim Minear serve as executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Television.
