KXAN reached out to Tevin’s attorney for his response to the charge.

According to an APD officer’s arrest affidavit, a 911 caller gave the address then said “please come” before hanging up.

The APD press release notes that Austin-Travis County EMS paramedics arrived at the scene around 10:28 p.m. on June 6. Tevin directed them to Warren, according to the affidavit.

“As paramedic began lifesaving measures, he discovered that the subject had been shot. At that time, Tevin claimed to [the other] paramedic … that the victim ‘went crazy’ and he had to shoot him,” the affidavit states.

The paramedics then called APD to the scene while continuing life-saving measures. At 11:09 p.m., responders pronounced Warren had died.

APD’s press release claims that Tevin allegedly told officers he had shot Warren.
