Road closures planned for CapTex Triathlon on Memorial Day

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Athletes will take over Downtown Austin on Monday to compete in the annual Ascension Seton CapTex Triathlon.
The 2025 CapTex Tri will generate several road closures on Memorial Day, from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Below is a breakdown of the full and partial closures that Austinites can expect.
Alternate routes:
- Use MoPac, Lamar and I-35 for northbound and southbound travel
- Use 15th St. and Ben White (Hwy 290) for eastbound and westbound travel
The race starts at 7 a.m., but participants can begin arriving as early as 5:30 a.m.
