Princess Charlotte’s Cute Wave on Visit to Meet Prince Louis Goes Viral
[ad_1]
Princess Charlotte waving to the media as she visited her baby brother Prince Louis in hospital after his birth resurfaced on TikTok where it went newly viral.
Charlotte, who was about to turn three at the time, holds one of Prince William’s hands while Prince George, four, holds the other as they pass a bank of press cameras on her way to the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, in April 2018.
At the time, Louis’ birth was a moment of excitement for royal fans during an optimistic period in royal history, with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding just a month away and with no significant public signs yet the royal rift that would follow.

Why It Matters
A clip of the moment went newly viral on TikTok where it was liked 11,100 times and viewed 172,000 times having been posted with the caption: “2018.”
What to Know
Princess Kate gave birth to Louis, weighing 8 lb 7oz, at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London, at 11 a.m., on April 23, 2018, but it was not until later that afternoon that William brought his older two children to meet their new younger brother.
The images of the siblings arriving together at the hospital entrance—William leading, George and Charlotte holding his hands—struck a warm tone at the time.
Charlotte gave a shy wave to the gathered press and George appeared reserved as they made their way past a significant bank of media cameras from outlets around the world.
Several days later, on April 27, the palace issued a statement announcing the baby’s name: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”
And in May they used Princess Charlotte’s birthday as an opportunity to share a new picture of Louis, writing in an Instagram post: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess at Kensington Palace.
“This image of Prince Louis was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace on 26th April. The Duke and Duchess would like to thank members of the public for their kind messages following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday.”

One fan replied to the new TikTok video, writing: “Beautiful Princess Charlotte so cute.” A second wrote, “My Favorite little Royal 😍,” while a third wrote: “Charlotte the next Queen.”

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are currently focusing on their schooling but will likely be back out in public in the run up to Christmas, including for Princess Kate’s annual carol service, Together at Christmas, at Westminster Abbey.
