Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s Daughter Kai Reflects on Transgender Identity and Modeling Career

Kai Schreiber lives life in her own fashion.

Indeed, the 16-year-old daughter of Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts has always known she was destined for the runway, even since she was much younger.

“I want to be a supermodel. Period,” Kai told Interview Magazine in an interview published June 11. “I’ve been practicing my walks in the kitchen for years; my mom can show you all the videos I forced her to film.”

And as the teen emphasized, her transgender identity probably played a role in her passion for fashion.

“Struggling with gender identity from a young age most likely had something to do with it,” she continued. “I always wanted to grow up and be a beautiful, glamorous, influential woman, like Marilyn [Monroe].”

Plus, Kai made her runway debut with Valentino during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, which confirmed her destiny. She added, “That job made me realize, ‘Okay, this is what I want to do.’”
