Braves’ Marcell Ozuna could put himself in play at trade deadline

The Braves will not diminish their chances for 2026 and beyond, but free agent-to-be star DH Marcell Ozuna could be in play, and word is that he’d consider waiving his 10-and-5 veto rights.

The Braves will not consider trading star 3B Austin Riley — to the Yankees or anyone else. “No chance,” said a source familiar with their thinking.

The Astros are prioritizing a lefty-hitting 2B and their prime target could be Cardinals All-Star Brendan Donovan — if he becomes available.

“I want us to go for it, I’m a competitor,” Donovan said. “We’ve surprised a lot of people.”
