ATCEMS: 1 dead after vehicle, pedestrian crash in Lakeway

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Lakeway Thursday night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

According to the Lakeway Police Department, the pedestrian was a woman.

ATCEMS medics said on social media around 7:30 p.m. that it responded to the crash at 400 N. Farm-to-Market Road 620, which is near Lexus of Lakeway. The Lake Travis Fire Department also responded to the crash, medics said.

Shortly before 8 p.m., medics said one person was pronounced dead on the scene.

Lakeway PD said on social media around 8 p.m. that traffic was shut down between Holly Lane and Clara Van Street due to the crash. Around 8:45 p.m., police said one lane was open in each direction. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes, if possible.

No other details were available Thursday.
