Andy Cohen stunned as Justine Lupe reveals surprising connection to ‘Vanderpump Rules’ icon Laura-Leigh
Nobody Wants This star Justine Lupe just revealed her shocking connection to Laura-Leigh Mosler, whose infamous run in the first season of Vanderpump Rules more than a decade ago has made her a Bravo icon.
During her appearance on Wednesday night’s (Oct. 29) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Lupe had host Andy Cohen‘s jaw on the floor when she shared that she attended Juilliard with Mosler.
“I was a Vanderpump girl for a long time. I knew Laura-Leigh in college, so if anyone remembers Laura-Leigh,” the actress said, to which Cohen replied, “Uh, we all remember Laura-Leigh. We all felt so bad for Laura-Leigh.”
Once a waitress at SUR, Mosler made her mark on the Bravo-verse when she dated Jax Taylor shortly after his split from Stassi Schroeder in Season 1 of Vanderpump Rules. While they started hot and heavy—even shagging in the SUR VIP bathroom—their relationship came to an end after Taylor dumped her outside of an AA meeting, moments after she opened up about her past struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. Mosler ultimately quit SUR—and Vanderpump Rules—to take on a role in the 2013 comedy, We’re the Millers, and further pursue her acting career.
“She went through it on that show,” Lupe said on WWHL, referring to Mosler’s time on Vanderpump Rules. “But she’s a very sweet, lovely person and we went to school together, so I watched it for her.”
Lupe isn’t the only famed actress who personally knew Mosler. While appearing in a 2023 episode of WWHL, Gillian Jacobs said she had also crossed paths with the former waitress “years” before her stint on Bravo.
“I went to Juilliard, Laura-Leigh went to Juilliard,” she said. “I was about two years out of college and one of the teachers called me and said, ‘We have this student who really wants to do indie films. Will you talk to her?’ Because I was primarily doing very low-budget indie films. So I had a coffee with Laura-Leigh years before Vanderpump [Rules].”
Jacobs added, “That’s actually why I started watching the show. My boyfriend had Bravo on, I walked past him and I was like, ‘What is Laura-Leigh doing on?’ So I’m a day one.”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
