APD to hold press conference Tuesday on Nov. 2024 homicide



AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department will hold a press conference on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. to give an overview regarding a November 2024 homicide investigation in the 400 block of East Wonsley Drive.

APD provided a list of speakers ahead of the press conference:

  • Danny Hernandez – APD Homicide Detective
  • Adam Curvin – APD Tactical Intelligence Detective
  • Brandon Filla – Deputy U.S. Marshal

The homicide investigation resulted in the arrest of six individuals, according to APD and the U.S. Marshals Service. Authorities said Camron Josh-Anthony Perkins, 22; Lorance Jones, 22; Rhianna Doreen Farillas, 21; Jon Charles Willard Jr., 20; Judaren Makeel Forbes, 20; and Corey Rashad Keazer, 20, were all charged with capital murder.

APD said the incident resulted in the death of 20-year-old Xavier Jones. Jones was shot and robbed in his home.

The suspects were seeking cash and jewelry from the victim, according to APD.
