Nancy Meyers Warner Bros Film Casts Tony Hale, Beverly D’Angelo & Apple Martin
EXCLUSIVE: Nancy Meyers has further expanded the cast of her new film for Warner Bros. with the addition of Tony Hale (Toy Story 5), Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise), and newcomer Apple Martin.
Character details are under wraps, as is the film’s logline. FKA Paris Paramount, the project has been characterized as semi-autobiographical for Meyers, who in a 2023 Instagram post, said it’s about “a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do.” Pic is the rom-com legend’s first since Warner Bros.’ The Intern in 2015.
Previously announced cast for Meyers’ untitled new film includes Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Erin Doherty, Jude Law, and Owen Wilson. Meyers is directing from her own script and producing alongside Ilona Herzberg, with Diana Pokorny and Paula Case exec producing. The film is slated for release on December 25, 2027.
A two-time Emmy winner best known for roles in Veep and Arrested Development, Hale reprises his Toy Story 4 role of Forky in the franchise’s fifth installment, out June 19. Upcoming, he’ll also be seen in films like Netflix’s rom-com Office Romance, starring Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, and Neon’s stoner comedy The Wrong Girls. He is repped by UTA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
A Golden Globe and Emmy nominee best known for her work alongside Chevy Chase in the National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise, D’Angelo’s upcoming 2026 releases include Last Hand and Grace Period. She is repped by Independent Artist Group.
Martin makes her feature film debut in Meyers’ comedy, having recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Law, History and Society. She has appeared in fashion campaigns for brands such as Gap and Chloé and collaborated with fashion houses including Chanel and Self-Portrait. She is repped by CAA and Cade Hudson at Hudson Management Group.
